We have a great plumber – always does a top job, but being semi-retired you do need to be patient as he arrives when he arrives and not a day sooner.
This week he has been fixing the shower stall, which has been leaking for a long while, despite all my attempts to fix (bodge) it.
This work involves removing one entire plasterboard wall, repairing the water damage behind and re-tiling.
Today he arrived at 8.30 prompt – as promised – and decided that he can’t finish the job today as the wall to be tiled is still too damp. He is not wrong, but this means no use of the shower until it can be fixed; and of course its a bank holiday weekend, meaning it will be Tuesday before he comes back and Wednesday before the job is finished. A whole week without a working shower.
Yes we have a hand shower that can be used in the bath so we shan’t smell… but we do have guests arriving on Wednesday.
