Does Archie get his come-uppance from whatever is waiting for him in that house which isn’t a house? or is he a victim too? Or is the story all another hallucination of a mind broken by war that ends with the light from a tunnel that is indeed the headlights of an approaching train? Like many of the stories in this collection you will want to read it again, and perhaps find a wholly different interpretation.”
