Members from Renegade Writers and Room in the Roof writers read out their work to an appreciative audience at the Gladstone Museum, Longton, yesterday (8 November). Ten readings in two hours, covering topics ranging from life in 19th century Staffordshire to modern day ghost tales by way of Sussex and the Great War.
Organised in conjunction with the Penkhull Press, which launched three new books:
It Was never Worthwhile by Jem Shaw & Malcolm Havard,
House of Shadow by Misha Herwin and
Sussex Tales by Jan Edwards,
The audio-visual side was organised by Jem Shaw and the event was MC’d by Peter Coleborn, who also took these photos.
